School Trip to Warwick Castle

Returning after popular demand, The Warwick Castle Science Fair will take place on Friday 24th March 2017 and promises to be BIGGER and LOUDER than before!

The Big Bang Fair do not charge and are focused at getting young people into STEM subject and therefore this event is free of charge. The ticket price you pay only goes towards other activities during the event such as Mad Science live shows and standard castle entry and activity fees.

We are providing primary and secondary school pupils with the ultimate outside the classroom learning experience during our popular science event where we will be hosting a Big Bang Fair event at the Castle along with working together with Mad Science and other leading UK science organisations throughout the day.

What's included in your ticket:

  • Meet over 20 leading science organisations from across the UK in our Big Bang FairArena – including Exotic Zoo workshop area (Free and separate from your entry fee)
  • Experience a 360 degree digital planetarium provided by Immersive Theatres
  • Explore the world of Witchcraft & Wizardry show in Mad Science new feature+ Fire & Ice show will be returning in an explosive fashion.
  • Witness Water Rockets soar over 100m in the air during our live rocket show!
  • …and full access into the Castle’s daily shows and attraction!

Key information:

  • The Big Bang Arena will be contained in an outdoor marquee for wet provisional purposes.
  • Mad Science shows content is aligned with National Curriculum. Shows will last approximately 30 minutes per show.
  • A final list of the organisations involved in The Big Bang Fair will be sent to you two weeks prior to the event starting.
  • Free teacher planning tickets can only be provided after paying in full for the trip.
  • Your school will be sent a Welcome Pack containing risk assessments and suggested itinerary’s to help plan your trip.
  • There is no additional costs for the Big Bang, your ticket costs goes fully to funding science activities and of course entry to our Castle and all of its usual daily shows and attractions (excluding the Dungeons).

  • Science Fair & Castle Entry Only:  £8.00 per Primary pupil
  • Science Fair & Castle Entry Only:  £10.00 per Secondary/College (Ages 11+)
  • 1 free teacher ticket for every 5 paying primary pupils (1:10 Secondary/College). All additional ticket for teachers above this ratio will cost £13.50.
  • Free coach parking – however we advise schools to arrange drop off or walk if local due to traffic likeness.
  • Free teacher planning tickets for two (once paid for trip).
