“We booked a Kings Tent and have just got back today! We were really impressed with the castle and the attractions and having three children aged 5,8 and 13 we decided Glamping would be fun. Check in was easy and we were given our wristbands and shown to the quick VIP entrance to the castle, when we returned to check into our tent we were shown straight to it, it was VERY clean and the furry blankets actually smelt of conditioner which, being a tidy obsessed mum, I loved! We had a secret prize in our tent which the boys loved finding and ordered our drinks to be delivered before bed (yummy hot choc with flake, cream and marshmallows) and our morning drink at the time of our choice (tea in the pot).
Dinner was really really good, to be honest we weren't expecting much and were very pleasantly surprised . The pig and unlimited crackling was a winner and the soup was delish, the was a huge choice of food and something for everyone. After dinner we went and spent an hour an a half doing archery and being taught fab jester tricks by the lovely Jingles.
A super quiet night, although a little chilly going to the toilet (due to the heat wave I forgot the jumpers!). The toilets were so clean and looked very smart, Glamping at its best!
Breakfast was, again excellent with a large choice on the buffet, which never ran out. The eggs were free range (I checked!) and the bacon, hash browns and warm pastries very yummy. The waiting staff were always so polite and professional and the free unlimited free soft and hot drinks during the whole stay for everybody was a great touch.
We have travelled a lot with our children and tend to go to high end hotels, this was on par with them, we had a really fantastic time here and cannot fault it in any way. My children have already begged me to book another trip, even the teenage daughter!!”
“Warwick Castle itself is a lot of fun, with much on offer for families. The really good deal though was the glamping!
Our kids were besides themselves camping in a medieval tent, and it was really comfortable for the adults. The shower/toilet facilities were very clean and nicely presented. Breakfast, dinner, drinks (except alcohol) were all included in the price, as well as after dinner activities: archery, knight school and jester school. There was so much space for the kids to run around, all the while knowing that they were safe and enclosed.
Two days priority entrance to the castle rounded out the fantastic deal of £160 for a family of 4. The Glamping site/experience has been well thought out and designed. But what makes the whole thing come together without a doubt are the incredible staff. They have such an upbeat, can-do and caring attitude. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make sure you have the best possible time during your stay.
Our kids wanted to stay for two weeks! Excellent job Warwick Castle glamping!”
“My two sons, 15 & 13, plus us two have just had a great 2 days and 1 night Glamping in the medieval village and visiting the castle.
The castle is magical and by taking time we were immersed in the majesty and history. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgable and were interested in how our trip was going. The views from all the towers are well worth the climb and the river running alongside is gorgeous. The eagle display was great as was the bowman show. The conservatory tea room was really great with stunning views and noisy peacocks.
In terms of the Glamping, we had never 'glamped' before and didn't really know what to expect. It was great fun! The tent was huge, we didn't book 'the Kings tent' due to affordability, but they looked bigger and you get towels and 2 thrones outside plus views of the river.
Our tent, number 39, only had one neighbour and was quiet. Inside a queen sized bed I think, plus two single beds, a trunk, small table and two stools. It was spotless with crisp cotton sheet and duvet - really comfortable. A short walk got us to the medieval dining hall, which had long tables, great staff and furnished really appropriately was good fun. Free soft drinks and coffees/ teas and hot chocolate 24/7 and a bar for something a little harder. It was all very relaxing and the guests were really well behaved and it was a peaceful quiet night. The showers were all clean and individual and the loos were very civilised.”
“We had booked our Glamping trip back in March and were really looking forward to it and we were certainly not disappointed, it was amazing.
All of the staff at Warwick are friendly and engaging and at the Glamping Village they were especially so, the tents were amazing and beds were so comfy, we all had a really good nights sleep.
The evening entertainment was brilliant, there is archery and knight school and also jester school, which we all had a go at and had a really good laugh. For an extra fiver the children can interact with birds of prey, there was a Harris Hawk and a Barn Owl and our 4 year old was super excited to handle a Barn Owl.
Evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was great. Great facilities and well run, I really don't have anything bad to say about it really. The highlight was being rounded up the next morning by Maud Bubonic (pronounced Bubonique!) from Horrible Histories who went on to tell us about what was happening that day and treating us to a hilarious version of Taylor Swift's Shake It Off with lyrics about the plague!
It is well worth the money and I'd love to do it again.”
