Immersive Workshops

Brand new for 2019, we have some incredible Immersive Talks and Workshops that let's your students step back in time! (For KS2,3,4)

 Execution of a Queen

This is a short performance narrated by an expert from the castle’s History Team and performed with the participation of actors. It is a dramatic presentation of the rise and downfall of Anne Boleyn. It focuses on the last few days of Anne’s life and her execution. This performance has been written and adapted using original source documents. Following the presentation, the narrator will lead a discussion where the students will have the opportunity question the participants and further explore the subject.

Votes for Women

Votes for Women is a short dramatic presentation narrated by a member of the History Team and performed with the participation of actors. It looks at the Women’s Suffrage movement, featuring key events and people. It has been written and adapted with the help of original source documents. Following the presentation, the narrator will lead a discussion where the students will have the opportunity question the participants and further explore the subject.

Victorian Warwick

This workshop led by three members of the Warwick acting team will immerse your students in Warwick’s Victorian life. They will learn from our Butler some of the jobs expected of a servant and the rules by which they must live. Having prepared tea for the lady of the house they will meet the 5th Countess Daisy who will lead them on a discovery of how much life has changed at all levels of society since Queen Victoria first ascended to the throne.

Finally your students will be taken to the Mill and engine house where they will experience the noise and spectacle of the industrial revolution with our engineer who, for the first time in many years and exclusively to schools, will help them fire up the massive generators and pumps in order to see how electricity and water was created and distributed around the castle.
