LATEST GUIDANCE

28th November 2020

Following the latest Government update, we’re delighted to confirm that Warwick Castle will reopen for Christmas at the Castle from 5th December for day guests.

Whilst some of our usual festive indoor experiences (including Stories with Santa) sadly cannot go ahead at this time, we’re certain that our local guests will have a wonderful winter experience and some much-needed festive family fun. Our outdoor Christmas activities, including our grounds, open-air ice rink, light trail and winter markets are available to enjoy.

The health and safety of our guests and our staff remains our number one priority and we will continue to monitor Government advice closely. We’ve introduced a number of additional hygiene and safety measures which you’ll see in place when you visit. We ask that you observe both these and the latest Government guidance at all times.

We can't wait to welcome you this Christmas!

Christmas at the Castle

Whilst we are temporarily unable to open our main castle rooms, the festively-decorated castle grounds are still available to enjoy. This includes; The Courtyard, The Conqueror’s Fortress, River Island, and the Horrible Histories® Maze and Christmas Scavenger Hunt. We’ll also have roaming winter birds of prey to admire.

If you should choose to keep your visit, to compensate for not being able to go inside the main castle building, we’ll provide a complimentary return visit, to be used on selected dates up until 31st March 2021. You’ll be emailed your free Castle-only ticket voucher code after you’ve visited. Full terms and conditions apply.

Alternatively, you can move the date of your visit here: https://www.warwick-castle.com/?promocode=revalidate

Great news! Our open-air ice rink is unaffected, and you can still visit as planned. We’ve introduced a range of additional health and safety measures to ensure you can still have a magical and safe winter experience.

This year, our ice rink is more than 30% larger, fewer skaters will be permitted onto the ice at any one time, and additional cleaning and sanitising is in place. For more information, check our Christmas FAQs before you arrive.

We can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you soon!

We’re open! Our brand new outdoor light trail is unaffected, and you can still visit as planned.

We’ve introduced a range of additional health and safety measures to ensure you can still have a truly wonderful winter experience. Our light trail is fully outdoors, with timed ticketing in place to keep household bubbles socially distant at all times. For further information, check our Christmas FAQs before you arrive.

Sadly, due to tier 3 restrictions at this time, we are temporarily unable to offer our Storytime with Santa experience. Due to very limited capacity, we are unable to move bookings to an alternative date, but we do understand that many of our guests may still wish to visit the castle for some festive fun during this time.

If you have a booking that has been affected, a member of our Customer Support Team will contact you shortly, to discuss your arrangements. Please bear with us, we’re working hard to get in touch as quickly as possible, and please help us by being patient and avoid calling or emailing our teams in the meantime.

Whilst we appreciate this is sad news for many, we are working hard to get a special message from Santa, available to all our wonderful Warwick Castle guests this Christmas.

Sadly, due to tier 3 restrictions at this time, we are temporarily unable to offer our Christmas Afternoon Tea experience.

If you have a booking that has been affected, one of our Customer Support Team will contact you shortly, to discuss your arrangements.
