Budding crime scene investigators will be in for a real challenge at Warwick Castle over May Day Bank Holiday weekend. A daring thief has made off with the Earl’s Treasure Chest containing his spoils of Battle and his daughter’s most precious jewels. It’s up to guests to uncover a trail of clues, unravel the evidence and unmask the culprit.
The case will take sleuths around the castle on a search for evidence with the help of a variety of mediaeval investigators, including a CSI Agent, who will be examining the forensics and the Receiver General who claims to have seen a shadowy figure fleeing the scene.
Additional family fun over the Bank Holiday Weekend includes the amazing Flight of the Eagles show featuring some of the country’s largest and rarest birds of prey; the shooting of the world’s largest trebuchet and the deadly Warwick bowman displaying his ruthless accuracy. And there’s a whole castle of adventure to discover - with themed indoor experiences as well as towers and turrets, rolling ramparts, a decidedly dingey dungeon and acres and acres of spectacular gardens and grounds.
All Bank Holiday activities are included in the entrance price of £18.95 for an adult, £11.95 for a child and £56.00 for a great value family ticket. Tickets can be booked in advance at www.warwick-castle.com, where 10% can be saved and tickets printed out to beat the queues, or on 0870 442 2000. Guests are advised to check opening times and the entertainment schedule in advance of their visit.
