It could only be Warwick Castle.

September
British Academy of Fencing ‘Diamond Swords’ Event
6th September from 7:00pm
Join us at Warwick Castle for an unforgettable ‘once only’ celebration of 60 years of fencing and a look to the future of fencing as a truly modern day sport.
The British Academy of Fencing was re-formed in 1949 after the austerity years of WWII. This marks 2009 as the Academy’s 60th Anniversary and by coincidence the 500th Anniversary of their original founder, King Henry VIII’s accession to the throne.
During the weekend The British Academy of Fencing and the British Academy of Dramatic Combat will have spaces around the grounds with displays of fencing, period sword fighting and some ‘have a go’ sessions to get stuck into!
As for the show you can expect superb swordfights, plush period costume, merry music and a slightly irreverent view of history. So if you ever wondered what Nell Gwynne would say to Henry VIII or what a seventeenth century prize fighter would look like then look no further. This and many other ‘sword’ related incidents will all be involved in the evening’s fun.
The Castle Courtyard will provide an unforgettable backdrop for this ‘once only’ celebration - a truly unique show and not to be missed!
Buy your tickets online or download the leaflet for more information.
